Done List

We were just crossing things off the to-do list as they got done, but that got very unwieldy very quickly!  So here’s what we’ve done.

• General
  • Arrange for more server space
  • Make a page so that you can send invites to your friends: this will be different from our signup page now because we’ll want to send out a different email (“Your friend Jenny Smith suggested that you might like to join Quiltgroup” v. “Thank you for your interest in joining Quiltgroup”) so that they know it’s not just spam.
  • Allow users to browse recent comments

• Profile
  • About
    • Things disappear once you enter them if you go back to edit your profile (this is crossed off optimistically.  PLEASE tell us if it shouldn’t be)
    • Make website field a link
    • Make the website field link open in a new window
    • Mouseover album names, like we do for friends names
    • Show both screen name and make your own profile name (eg your screen name is BooBear45, but you want your profile name to show up as Jill)
  • Create a notification system that will alert you when you have new comments, new friends, etc.
  • Albums
    • Currently, the ability to upload an album to a group goes away after you first create the album.  Oops (and while we did this, we made a few other changes to make the albums in a group functions work better)
    • Be able to delete albums
    • Be able to enter information for each individual quilt (not just in the comments, which is what you have to do now)
      • Photo name
      • ext info (pattern name, book, whatever)
      • Date completed
      • Mark as planned/in progress/UFO/finished
• Community
  • Create a news and updates box on the Community page, so we can keep users updated about new features.
  • Add the ability to write private messages (as opposed to public comments and signatures)
  • Link the right column to your albums/friends/groups pages.
  • Create a notification system, which shows
    • A link to all of the comments you have received
    • When you receive a new signature
    • Info about referrals you have suggested (whether their invite code has gone out, been accepted, etc)
  • Groups
    • Have a default forum that the user doesn’t have to create
• Talk
  • Find icons for the chat boards
