To Do List

This list includes bugs to be fixed, user suggestions, and things that we want to do.  It’s not in any particular priority order right now: it’s just a general idea of the things that we want to get done.  We are trying to consolidate or address everything submitted as a suggestion onto this page, and then it will be removed from the suggestions page (to keep it nice and clutter-free).  If you have other ideas or suggestions, it’s probably easiest to go to the suggestions form and submit it there.

Is there a way to send invitations to friend’s and family’s e-mails?

    • quiltgroup replied:

Hi Zoe – We don’t have a way to do that right now, but it’s a good idea. We’ll try to put up such a page tonight or tomorrow. One thing, though: we’re not sending out any more invites for a few weeks, until we work everything out with the fairly small user base we have right now. So they wouldn’t actually get the invitation for a few weeks.

  2. Regina replied:

    I want in, pleaeaeaease.

    • quiltgroup replied:

Did you submit your email? I think that we’ll be doing some new invites soon… early next week.

  3. Jennifer replied:

Is there someplace we could have a “to do” list… a way to link to projects and quilts we’d like to make someday when we get though our WIP’s and UFO’s? ;^)

    • quiltgroup replied:

That’s a very good idea. We’ll work that in. It will be easier when we have the Resources section up and running. Right now (literally) we’re working on fields for images and albums, and one of the ones I’d like to see is a way to select whether a project is finished/WIP/UFO/planned. For planned you can at least photograph your fabric and include information about the pattern and what you plan on doing. (This is what I do on my personal website, and I find it helps me stay organized!)

  4. Jennifer replied:

Thanks! I know you guys have a lot on your plate but as I see things I’ll keep mentioning them. ;^) I can wait. I’m just so happy you’re doing this!

I’ve been in the groups making a few posts and I’m finding it difficult to get back to the Group “face page” after I post. I’d like an easier way to get back to see all the topics for that group. Is there a way to put the icon of the group in the top right hand corner (or somewhere equally accessible) so when I’m done replying to one thread I can click that and jump back to see all the other threads for that group? Thanks!

  5. quiltgroup replied:

That’s a good point, Jennifer: I guess we hadn’t thought about it. We’ll make it easier to navigate around the Groups.

  6. beth replied:

Hope you set up a group of applique. my friends and I are doing some now and really enjoying it.

One of the cool parts of the site is that anyone can start a group! Just go to the “browse” page (next to the groups link on the community page), and click on “create a new group.” You’ll be asked to describe your group, upload an icon, and to name some message boards just for your group. Create as many groups as you’d like!
